Rillbreak

Privacy policy

Last updated October 12, 2026

This page is a draft and may change before launch.

Rillbreak is built to collect as little as possible. Your check-ins never leave your device.

What stays on your device

Your before-and-after check-ins and your session history are saved only in your browser (IndexedDB). They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data erases them.

We also keep two small settings in your browser: whether you've seen the silent-mode hint, and the campaign tags (UTM) of the link you arrived from, for the length of your visit.

What we collect

  • Launch reminder: if you ask for one, your email address and the campaign tag of the link you came from. We send one launch email, then delete the list.
  • Purchases: Gumroad processes payment. We receive your email address and purchase details so we can give you access. We never see your card number.
  • Anonymous usage statistics: page views and actions such as starting or finishing a session, with session length. These never include check-in answers, mood or which scene you chose. We don't use cookies for this, don't build user profiles, and discard IP addresses.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

What we don't do

  • No advertising or tracking pixels (no Meta, TikTok or Google Ads tags).
  • We don't sell or share personal information for advertising.
  • We don't collect health data on our servers.

Service providers

  • Gumroad — checkout and payments
  • Supabase — stores launch-reminder emails and, after launch, account and purchase status
  • PostHog — anonymous usage statistics
  • Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@rillbreak.com. We'll respond within 45 days and won't treat you differently for asking.

California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We don't sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Washington residents: we don't collect consumer health data as defined by the My Health My Data Act. Check-ins stay on your device.

Children

Rillbreak isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you by email if we have it. Questions: support@rillbreak.com.
